Now at this time of year, we’re usually planning a picking trip or two. But this year we’ve been discovering so many incredible treasures right here in southwest Florida, the warehouses are bursting at the seams without spending a single night away from home.
Some of our newest treasures: How about a 100-year-old, eight-foot-tall desk/bookcase? Yes, eight feet tall and absolutely gorgeous. The drawers in the base are four feet deep, and when the desk is folded out there are cubbies and small drawers. You could run an entire business from this thing!
And for something completely different, we’ve also got a vending machine chock full of small toys. How’s that for a trip down Memory Lane?
Here’s another idea from our endless supply: How about instant ancestors? The Warehouse is full of old photos, which are highly popular as collectibles. The stern 19th-century couple seating side-by-side, rigidly upright. The gorgeous young woman in full 1950s glory leaning casually against her car. (We’ve even got Elvis!) Buy one or buy several – then give them names and back stories!
Of course Diane is still painting madly as pieces are brought in every week for custom work, and she’s also almost fully booked through September for renovating kitchens and bathrooms.
Give us a call if you’re interested in getting a room makeover, or want to schedule lessons to learn how to do it yourself. We’ve got all the Dixie Belle chalk paint you’ll need right in stock!
We are open Thursday 9am to 2 pm Friday Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM, or by appointment by calling (941) 423-9000.
