This late 1800's Steamer Trunk is all original, and in fabulous condition for it's age. Especially the outside. Metal, Leather & Wood look gorgeous together.
Steamer Trunks were popular throughout the Victorian Era, when people were on the move, traveling long distance on steamer ships, wagons, and trains. They made them to withstand a lot of wear and tear. This one is in amazing condition for it's age, and luckily I haven't had to do anything to the outside to restore it.
It's all original, except the inside has liner paper stuck on with electrical tape. I've always wanted to redo the inside with some cool vintage decoupage paper, but I would like whoever buys it to have the choice. The leather handles are missing on the sides, but can be replaced or just left as is. There's no smells or real "damage" to the trunk, and it's all in tact. Nothing falling apart so to speak. It's definitely a good one that you could use!
