In the 1800's, this antique wooden Victorian Era Spool Thread Cabinet would have been sitting in a country general store as a decorative display for silk threads. It's made by Eureka Spool Company, built of solid Golden Oak wood, with 7-drawers. It features 6 Glass-Front Drawers with Date Stamped Metal & Bakelite handles on the front, and gilt lettering hand painted across the bottom wood drawer.
It's such a rare iconic piece to find in such great condition. As you can see the bottom wood drawer is missing a handle, but is something that doesn't really stand out as a flaw.
It really has that authentic farmhouse style, and would be perfect for a sewing room, a jewelry box, a mobile display for gemstones and jewelry, or storage for your little vintage treasures. I've seen many different versions of these, but this one is a little extra special, like a time capsule from the Wild West.
